FAQs
What makes M—TT trainings different from others?
Our trainings are built around accessibility, inclusion, and a non-performative approach to movement. We value human connection, somatic intelligence, and pedagogy over perfection. Whether you're deepening your personal practice or preparing to teach, you'll receive hands-on support, clear structure, and authentic guidance from experienced educators.
Do I need to be advanced in Pilates or Yoga to join the training?
No. We welcome curious movers, committed students, and aspiring instructors. If you’ve had some experience and feel called to understand the why and how behind the practice, you’re in the right place. We’re here to guide you through every step.
What style of Pilates or Yoga do you teach?
We offer a comprehensive approach. For Pilates, we combine Classical foundations with Contemporary adaptations that respect modern bodies. Our Yin Yoga training is informed by functional anatomy, Chinese meridian theory, and a trauma-aware lens. We teach techniques, but also how to think critically and adapt for real humans.
Are your trainings recognized or accredited?
Yes. Our Yoga programs are Yoga Alliance-recognized, and our Pilates training meets international standards for mat instruction. More importantly, our graduates leave with the skills and confidence to teach in studios, online, or privately, anywhere they want.
Can I do the training just to deepen my practice, without teaching?
Absolutely. Many participants join out of curiosity, self-development, or healing. You’ll leave with a better understanding of your body, movement patterns, and how to listen to yourself in new ways.
Is the training trauma-informed and inclusive?
Yes. This is central to our mission. We weave in somatic awareness, consent-based cueing, options instead of corrections, and clear boundaries for teachers and students. We also bring in guest experts to speak on topics like mental health, ethical teaching, and accessible movement.
How much time will I need to dedicate weekly?
Each training is slightly different. On average:
We recommend about 4–6 hours/week outside of training weekends for integration, practice, and assignments.
Do you offer payment plans or financial assistance?
Yes. We want this work to be accessible, not reserved for the privileged. We offer flexible payment plans, and sometimes partial bursaries depending on availability. Let’s talk, we’ll do our best to make it work.
Is this training in French or English?
Both! Our team is bilingual, and materials are available in both languages. Most modules are taught in a mix of French and English, with slides, manuals, and support in your preferred language. We’ve had participants from both linguistic communities thrive in our space.
Do I need to be super fit or flexible to become a teacher?
Not at all. We don’t believe in the “ideal teacher body.” You’ll learn how to teach from your own body, with clarity, presence, and care. If you love movement and want to support others, that’s what matters most.
What happens after the training? Can I get a job or internship?
We support you before, during, and after your training. You’ll have:
A chance to intern with us
Opportunities to assist classes or sub other teachers
Access to our alumni network for gigs, job offers, and support
What if I need to miss a day or two during the training? Will I still graduate?
Life happens, we get it. If you need to miss a portion of the training, you can still graduate as long as you:
Let us know in advance
Make up the missed content through recorded sessions, assignments, or private review (fees may apply)
Complete your internship hours and final assessments
We’re flexible within reason, and we’ll work with you to find a solution that honors your learning. If you are absent more than 7 hours of training, you’ll have to attend another training to make up for the missing hours (fees may apply).
How long do I have to complete the internship hours and class observations?
You’ll have up to 2 months after the training ends to:
Complete your internship teaching hours
Submit class observations
Pass your written and practical evaluations
If you need more time, just communicate with us, we want you to succeed, not stress.
What kind of exams or evaluations are part of the certification?
We offer a well-rounded, supportive evaluation process:
A written exam covering theory, anatomy, cueing, ethics, and pedagogy
A practical teaching evaluation, where you’ll guide a short sequence with real-time feedback
Your internship and observation log, documenting your teaching practice
Our goal is not to test your memory but to assess your readiness to teach with confidence, clarity, and care.
