THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE INTENSIVE MAT PILATES TRAINING
A structured, rigorous, and accessible program designed to teach the technical, anatomical, and pedagogical foundations of Pilates.

In 120 hours, you’ll gain the tools to design, lead, and teach effective, safe classes that meet today’s market needs.

Break during construction holidays (July 26 to August 3)

📍 In-person in Montreal

Training Dates: 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM

  • July 5–6

  • July 12–13

  • July 19–20

  • August 9–10

  • August 16–17

In-class theory instruction: 20 hours
(Pilates history, core principles, anatomy, methodology, mental health, ethics, branding)

In-class practical instruction: 46 hours
(Fundamentals, advanced exercises, adjustments, sequencing)

Workshops with guest specialists: 16 hours
(Breathing anatomy, fascia and Pilates, pelvic health, posture, functional movement)

Observation: 8 hours
(Watching experienced instructors)

Personal practice: 10 hours
(Independent application of learned techniques)

Self-directed theory study: 10 hours
(Reading and individual study of Pilates principles)

Internships: 10 hours
(Teaching in real-world conditions)

Prerequisites for Enrolment

  • Completion of 15 Pilates classes for applicants without prior certification in a movement discipline

  • Completion of 10 Pilates classes for applicants already certified in a related movement discipline (yoga, dance, physical training, etc.)

  • Motivation to deepen your understanding of Pilates and share the practice

  • A respectful, open-minded attitude and a willingness to learn collaboratively

Introduction & Functional Anatomy

  • Origins of Pilates: Joseph Pilates’ history, method evolution, and modern influences

  • The 6 fundamental principles of Pilates

  • Anatomy of breathing and its role in Pilates practice

  • Analysis of shoulders, core, and hips: their role in movement and adjustments

  • Pelvic health: understanding challenges specific to women and diverse populations

  • Intro to functional movement: spinal balance and mobilization

Postural Techniques & Assessment

  • How to assess clients' posture to identify specific needs

  • Developing observation skills: spotting and kindly correcting imbalances

  • Fundamental mat Pilates exercises: learning the basics for safe guidance

  • Adjustments and modifications: tailoring exercises for inclusive teaching

  • Learning to give constructive feedback to motivate and correct students effectively

Teaching Methodology & Ethics

  • Teaching methodologies: how to structure and deliver coherent, progressive classes

  • Creating class sequences for beginners and intermediates

  • Mental health awareness and its relevance in movement practices

  • Professional ethics in teaching: respect, consent, and inclusive environments

  • Strategies to support wellness at work in professional settings

Advanced Practice & Adjustments
