A deeply embodied teacher training exploring stillness, restoration, and the science of rest through Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra. Grounded in anatomy, trauma-informed pedagogy, and modern somatic science.

This 75-hour Yin & Nidra Teacher Training is designed for teachers and practitioners who want to deepen their understanding of stillness, nervous system regulation, and the art of holding space. Through the lens of Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra, you’ll explore how the body stores tension, how rest rewires the mind, and how to safely guide others toward inner connection. Our approach integrates ancient wisdom with modern anatomy and neuroscience, offering both intellectual depth and practical tools for today’s movement educators.

TRAINING CONTENT

In-class teaching: 48 hours
 (History, Fundamental Principles, Anatomy, Methodologies, Mental Health, Ethics, Asanas, Nidra)

Workshops with specialists: 10 hours (included within in-class hours)
(General Anatomy – Yin focused (2h), Anatomy of Breath in Yin (2h), Meridians (2–3h), Ethics and Trauma Awareness (1.5h))

Observation: 8 hours
(Observation of experienced instructors in studio and/or live online)

Personal practice: 5 hours
(Independent application of learned techniques at home, in studio, or privately)

Self-study and assignments: 6 hours
(Individual reading and study of Yin principles, personal assignments)

Teaching practicum: 8 hours
 (Teaching in real conditions — in a studio or semi-private setting)

Total: 75 hours

Prerequisites for Enrolment

  • Completion of 10 Yin classes (group or private).

  • Motivation to deepen your understanding of Yin and share this practice with others.

  • Demonstrate respect, open-mindedness, and a willingness for collaborative learning.

No prior teaching certification is required, but some experience in yoga or mindfulness practices is recommended.

Foundations of Yoga Yin and Nidra – history, eight traditional stages, philosophy, and relation to the koshas (subtle bodies).

Brain and Nervous System – brain waves, breathing, and the physiological basis of deep relaxation.

Conscious, Unconscious & Superconscious Mind – mechanisms and states of consciousness.

Language & Voice – hypnotic language, tone, rhythm, and repetition to safely guide students.

Imagery & Metaphor – using symbols, imagination, and archetypes for healing and transformation.

Intention & Affirmation (Sankalpa) – cultivating purpose, recognizing samskaras, and harnessing willpower.

Therapeutic & Trauma-Informed Applications – calming students, recognizing triggers, ethics, and responsible facilitation.

Guiding Techniques – leading students into deep relaxation, connecting with inner guides, and accessing spaces of peace and safety.

Integration of Yin Yoga Principles – yin vs. yang philosophy, meridians, elements, and sequencing based on TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) foundations.

Teaching Practice & Group Work – applied anatomy, theoretical discussions, manual work with props, and presence-based holding of space.
